Why would you listen to Al Gore when he is saying to become "greener"?

When he is spending 3 times as much as you to heat his home and flying in private jets to get himself and a crew of about 3 back and forth to where he is going?

Update:

Face: I'm not saying the Environmental push is wrong. But it's not something that is a man-made problem. The Earth has been heating and cooling for billions of years.

Update 2:

TomPink: If Celebrities and Singers truly cared about saving energy they WOULD fly commercially. But instead they waste a whole extra plane to take themselves and maybe a 5 other people from point A to point B.

No, because soon after he jumps into his private gas guzzling jet. He is a smart guy, but he is turning global warming into his own political issue and saying global warming is man made when many world scientists believe it is natural. Of course, we are not helping global warming with all of our pollution, but it is not all of our fault hat we have it.

That's so stupid. It takes a lot of $ and energy to be a celebrity and spread the word. That's like asking why should people working for the Red Cross or Salvation Army get paid.

He probably doesn't need such a big house, but I admire everybody who wants to go greener, and I'm sure some of the movie stars use a lot of electricity too, but everyone should be at least a little concerned and not use Sean Hannity's points as important.

Should preachers & pastors get paid?

Should famous singers fly coach class?

Are you serious, or are you trolling?

If I tell you not to hit yourself in the face,

while I am hitting myself in the face,

which do you do - obey my advice,

or act the opposite of my advice and go ahead and hit yourself in the face?

Al Gore is not the issue -- climate change is the issue.

He may not follow his own advice - but that doesn't mean his advice is wrong.

    Heating and cooling for years......

    You must be joking!

The heating and cooling / natural process argument is rediculous. The earth has never seen the strong variation over a short measure of time that it is seeing now.

The other point that the natural process argument ignores is the measure of habiltability - If you aren't worried about us speeding up the "natural process" than by correllation you aren't worried about us speeding the earth toward a new age of inhabitability for humans.

I suppose 300 years ago, you would have argued that the world was flat, yes?

Al Gore isn't why we are trying to get "greener."

He's a hypocrite, but that doesn't make the Environmental/Green movement wrong.

Regardless of what Al Gore says or does, global warming is scientifically undeniable and it is man made.

I never listen to Al Gore because he's a hypocrite. He wants the rest of us to make sacrifices while he's living large.

Al Gore is an idiot and the only reason why he is doing this is because he was to stupid to become the US president.

whether you believe in global warming or not,

to stand in the way of trying to get America greener is to say YES to pollution and Big Business pollutors.

it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that pollution is a killer and its getting worse.
