Playing guitars left-handed?
I was stupid enough to buy a guitar for right-handed people and I have recently realized that I'm not very comfortable playing with it. e
Should I:
Play the guitar left-handed and upside down?
or
Re-string it so that I can play left handed?

I know left-handed guitarists who do it both ways. The advantage of playing a right-handed guitar upside down is that you can pick up anyone's guitar and play it (and anyone can play -your- guitar!) The advantage of re-stringing it is that it's easier to play. If it was me, I'd probably restring it.

most acoustics could be played either way if you restring them accordingly...It may be awkward to do with some guitars, especially electric guitars, because of their shape and the volume control and pickup switch...I would sell it and get a left-handed guitar. another problem in restringing the guitar would be fitting the strings in the nut. so if you dont want to sell it or trade it just keep playing right- handed maybe you'll get used to it.

My neighbor used to do that, it's a different sound, but it's not bad. I prefer playing the normal way cause I like to throw some bass in between the higher notes... It's really up to you.

Restring it. Hendrix did. My husband plays a bad a** Hendrix, and he bought the white strat like Hendrix played at Woodstock. The headstock is flipped its very cool.

You should probably re-string it. lol. One of my friends had a similar experiance. He was to lazy to fix it so he just played it like a righty though. =)

You can indeed restring it, if acoustic...well, electric, too, but it's a bit harder to play.
