Take a cassette player to the gym??? LOL?
I think not, but i am SEVERLEY out of touch with all the new gadgets and such. I don't even have a cell phone! =) I am only 28 but I like to keep things simply and I am not made of money. =)
I joined a gym(yay me!) and need something to listen to music on for a decent price(nothing over $100 or so). I am confident that I can get the music from my computer to a device, but i need a reliable, GREAT sounding device! Has to sound great!
What do u use? Is a generic mp3 as good as an ipod? Is ipod the best? PLEASE hep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you!

ipods are the most popular because they are the smallest and typically have the most features, like the ability to store movies and play games.
you just need to play music, I suggest you buy something on ebay, I've had good luck with the brand "iRiver" as far as it being compatable with windows media player.
You won't need to spend $100 if you dont mind something that only holds a few hours of music. I can get about 4 hours of music on my 256MB mp3 player with decent quality settings, you should be able to get a 512MB or 1GB for under $100 on ebay, If you don't use ebay you can still find them at electronics stores but they cost a little bit more.
Ipod does make a very small player that holds 512MB and it goes for about $80, its so small you just clip it on your sleeve.

Go to Walmart and get the Sansa mp3 player that sells for, I believe, $39. It's the 512mb version, which can hold around 20 cds worth of music. You can use the Windows Media Player already on your computer to add songs to it. Just put in your cds, click the rip tab on the player, and they're on the computer. Then you choose what songs/albums to sync to the mp3 player, and you're done. If you're connected to the internet when you rip the songs, it will automatically name the songs and artist and all that. It's small, cheap, and works just fine. I have a 30 gig ipod, and the Sansa too. They both have their advantages, but for a cheap player to work out with, it's hard to beat.

just go to best buy and get the cheapest mp3 you can find. an ipod is better, but it is more expensive and has features you probably won't be using.
