Does it seem that people are trusting this site too much?

How much do you trust a stranger's opinion? Being anonymous I feel free to be absolutely honest about my opinions. I may be wrong, but I put down what I believe. There are a lot of phonies and fools both asking and answering questions. As to the possibility that terrorists are gathering info, yes, but not much. Those who want to campaign for a political cause are at least open about it and no one group has taken control here.

Check Netscape.com and you will see how the Left takes over a site.

Monitored? Most likely! (Patriot Act! Helloooooo) But the Y/A is like anywhere else! Advise is a two way door, either you take it or you don't, it's up to you!

I feel free to express my political beliefs here, and get feed back from others on a varied list of topics, and what's going on in the government! I do not however force my candidate opinions on anyone, either! Its all opinion anyway, and a way of giving someone else an idea on how many different ideologies that there are! I am a liberal, but not the given definition of a liberal!

It is amazing how many 'opinions there are, as to whom or where the blame lies, for all of our problems! Both sides love to accuse the other of everything under the sun! What a country!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

People are absolutely infiltrating this site. This is an open public forum, so there really is no infiltration. What a great way to collect intelligence on the moral of the American people, the sucess of tactics, and the effect the war is having.

Stay out of the politics section, and you'll do OK. The politics section is really a rant site, designed to steer troublemakers away from the cooking recipe, car, quilting, or golf sections.

And you'll probably get more points if you stick to logical, useful answers in civilized sections. The politics section is for people of angst who can't figure out how to come up with a great barbecue sauce from scratch.

Have fun, and, as far as addictions, Y/A is safer than hanging out at bars.

or hitbox.com. They have all kinds of programs to monitor everything from chat and so on. They are mostly marketing companies. Out to spam you.

Even deeper: Your anti-spyware programs. Free or not free. There are alot of things they dont classify as spyware. Obviously they are paid NOT to do so. And why does microsoft Distributed transaction server call home so often? "checking for automatic updates"?? ReaLly?? LOL.

Why is it that the spam you get in your inbox seems to magically know what you want. Once I visited nytimes.com. the next day I got a peice of junkmail wanting me to subscribe. Coincidence? I think not. I decided to reply with a nasty letter, asking how they got my adress and informing them that they were not a govt company and had no right to collect my info like that, and my computer shut off like MAGIC before I could send it.

My advice. Get linux. But even that will only help so much.

there is not need for "infiltrating" when people are spilling information about themselves so easily. I try to do my best to lie about all personal information and encourage everyone else to do the same....of course all anyone would need to do is find out your IP address and all basic info can be acquired. It does not matter where on the internet you are really. If your online you can be watched....even if you have a fire wall or peer guardian etc...

In my opinion, people trust the internet far too much. Anyone can start a "theory" and set up a web page for free to spread it.

The trouble with sites like this is that they are open to all and sundry and one should always be very careful what one writes anywhere on line.
