There are several reasons for Jesus to have died for our sins.
In the beginning Cain and Abel decided to make offerings to God, they did not specified if it was for forgiveness of their parents original sin or their own sins.
With the time this became a ritual for them as traditional way for paying for their sins. They had tried to clean themselves from the parents sins and their new sins. A promise to God is a heavy promise, so they felt. (Jesus showed us that God is very forgiving) But it had been the devil who had put this things in their mind, tying them to this ritual, he had been the accuser before God all the time. Also many times impostor of God, if you see in the book of Zacharias God says some false prophets say God spoke when God did not speak.
In this game, the devil had made them discredited before God, giving man iniquity as well as always an unfit way of resolving the problem of forgiveness of sins.
There was never found a fit offer to rescue mankind from the hands of satan. Jesus and God did not approve of sacrifices, but that was the pact set by man in their belief, So Jesus avoided capture and death until the day of offerings, and at the offering of his own people, and at the hands of the gentiles so that in this trick, men, moved by satan would kill him (only as a man) on this special day.
Resulting him as an offering not only from part of the Jewish but also of the Gentiles, in that way falling all mankind in the promise made to Jesus that all who believe in him may be forgiven, (men and angels) and also save from the hands of the devil who still (as punishment for killing Jesus, would be coming down to men). So if we all believe we are all saved and resurrected thanks to Jesus sacrifice, saved also from the hands of satan because true Christians can see the way satan is bringing men toward destruction, physically and spiritually. He, satan, has been ruling the empires, nations and leaders of nations, he has used them to build one more time the beast of iniquity in the arrogance of their ignorance.

It means that Jesus Christ took the punishment which we deserved. He paid the price of sin on the Cross. He paid the debt that we could not pay. You see, God is a Holy God, and He hates sin, and all sin has to be punished. God sent His Son Jesus, as human flesh, to suffer in our place. He was the once and for all sacrifice for sin. So where does that leave you and me? He died that we might be forgiven - but it is up to us individually! We need to believe this, then ask and receive forgiveness for our wrong doing. We need a Saviour, a leader of our lives, because left to our own, we mess up!
So why not make Jesus Lord of your life today.

Most of culprits, sinners, alcoholic, adulterous and transgressor Christians are being afflicted with painful torments like STD (Sexually transmitted diseases) including AIDS, Hepatitis. Why not you tell your god that Jesus has paid the price and do not afflict us due out sins, crimes and transgressions??? Or your sins, crimes and transgressions exceeded than price paid by Jesus?????
Savior
I, even I, am Yahweh; and beside me there is no savior…a just God and a Savior; there is none beside me” (43:11; 45:21).
Does Bible refuse to accept the Jesus as ‘Savior’ and rejects the concept of ransom of Christians’ sins and crimes?
Ezekiel 18:20. The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.
James2:24. Ye see then how that by works a man is just
Matthew 19:16-17. "And behold, one came up to him, saying, "Teacher, what good deed must I do, to have eternal life?" "And he said to him, "Why do you ask me about what is good? One there is who is good. If you would enter life, keep the commandments."
Jas 2:26. "Faith without works is Dead"

There are two forces in play: Justice and Mercy. Justice must be answered, and yet God is merciful. Because we have our agency we make mistakes and sin. These sins carry serious consequences. Jesus is our mediator, he pays the price of our sins so that Justice is satisfied and offers us God's mercy if we will except His sacrifice. Because He is God in the flesh he is able to bare the awful pain of our sins even though it caused Him to bleed from every pore.
When Jesus rose from the dead He opened the way for us to also be resurrected and paid the price for Adam's transgression. (Even as in Adam all men must die, so in Jesus all men may have eternal life.)

The romans crucified Jesus, and accused him with false accusations. The Jews supported the romans,so they are sinners as well. Then,we have the people who choose to free Barabus, instead of Jesus,so people who voted as such, are also sinners.
And,when Jesus was on that cross, awaiting death in tremendous pain.He spoke to god, asking forgiveness for those above stated, because they do not know what they are doing.

I have not really known why Jesus had to die for my/your sins. But I'll tell you what happenned to me. I was a very good girl according to my standard. I never wanted to hurt others, but I did. I never wanted to do get angry at my parents, never wanted to see stupid movies, never wanted to go to disco, never wanted to waste time, but I did everything I did to actually feel the enjoyment others had. But inbetween I had got addicted to a particular sin and I could not come over it. Then I was punished. I didnt know God was seeing me. I continued to sin and again I was punished. Then I cried to God to help me out. I asked God to forgive me and cleanse me away from all my wrong-doings, so that I can get close to Him. And then I realize now, how bad I really was, but Jesus death has cleansed my sins. You will realize it when you ask God to take away sins away from your life that you don't like.
