xbox 360 elite?

I had pretty much decided to get an xbox 360 but then I was told I could get an elite at a discount. it's only ten percent off but still. I guess the main issue for me is the hard drive. do I need all that space? I had a lot of problems with space on ps2 memory cards. maybe it's worth it? what do you think?

Avoid the Ps3. The software library available for the Xbox 360 is way better. Almost every Ps3 game is on the Xbox 360, plus a whole bunch of Xbox 360 exclusives as well. The Ps3 is basically a blu-ray player.

The elite is the best deal out right now. For someone just buying one, the elite is the way to go. 120 gb HDD is a lot, won't have to worry about memory, ever. Plus it comes with HDMI, and for anyone with an HDTV, it's a really good thing. I just bought one from toysrus.com. The xbox 360 elite is really hard to find, only found online at the moment. Most major online consumer electronic sites will tell you the elite is the best choice for someone just buying an Xbox 360.

    Plus it comes in Black.

If you're only using the hard drive to save games, you will never come close to using up all 120 gb. The reason people ran out of space on the 20 gb is that they were downloading demos, especially the hi-def game demos, which takes up a lot of space. Movies also takes up a lot of space. Uploading pictures also uses up a lot of space.

Get the Elite only if you plan on downloading everything that you can or if you plan to upload a bunch of pictures.

YEahhh ps3's give you less actually... the 500 dollat ps3 has only 30 gigs of HD when the 480 dollar Xbox360elite gives you a 120 gig harddrive it's a steal plus if you're a sensible person and look at a stat sheet the xbox beats the ps3 in the power comparison, at least graphically, too bad ps3 was a piece of crap i was looking forward to it's success :(

i really think you should save up a bit more and get a ps3. it's a much better deal because your getting alot more stuff built inti it. like wireless internet and so on...But people don't like the online but as a ps3 owner i can say that i have never had any problems. even with ps2 games online with ps3. the games are starting to pick up a bit now. 360's are known to go wrong and they haven't really put any new technology in the elite. plus i really hate the look of it.

You don't actually start off with exact 120GB. With the 20GB ones, you start off with about 14GB of space. The other 6GB is taken up from configuration and such. So you would proabably start off with about 116GB. With all that space you can store a heap lot of music pictures and videos.

no you'll never use that space and if you do buy the elite you wont get your moneys worth because you wont use up all the storage eventually
