What is bad about deleting your own answers sometimes?

It's not that my answers are offensive, but sometimes i just think they are not very good, so why bother leaving them there.

I know deleting costs 2 points, but it doesn't bring your percentage down or does it?

    No!! your percantage is worked out from how many best answers against your overall answers.

    Good question! I don't think it affects your percentage and, let's face it, even if it did then the effect would be minimal.

    But, sure, if you want to delete your own answer, you have a right to do so.

    Don't worry, I do that too. It does not affect your %, just points.
