"never want it happen"? Let me break the ice... it is already happening. Reread everything byderule said and then add the following right before his part on the government...
Watch the news!! Remember those zillions of hurricanes last year? What about all the tornadoes a few months ago (before tornado season)? How about the major flooding in Texas? Or the insane wildfires that literally distroy the whole Northwest and California? What about in January 2007 when Flordia was having blizzards, and Seattle was playing beach vollyball? Does any of this ring a bell? It is all due to global warming.
I can go on forever and ever about everything that has been destroyed or caused by global warming within the last 2-3 years.
But what's the point? Will my ranting really change anybody's opinion on global warming? No. Will the mis-informed embrace any facts I give them? No. It's a useless voyage.

I don't know how big of a problem global warming is, i usually don't trust people who tell me that the world is coming to an end and we are all going to die. However, when it comes to your question, why not try to stop it? This sounds just like an argument that i heard from the republicans about stem cells. "Medical use for stem cells is still 15 years away, that can't help anyone now, so we should not increase funding." I believe that was from Missouri. Also, this means that Al Gore was right that global warming is a problem and caused by man. As opposed to the republican position that it flat out doesn't exist. Why not call George bush the bumpkin?

It is a little known fact that, when the industrial revolution happened, people around the world, began noticing climactic changes. These changes have only increased with the increase of pollutants going into the air. The Mayan, Chinese, and many other ancient civilizations all have their calendars ending on X-Mas 2012. Although the weather service people said that we have until 2020 when the polar ice caps completely melt, their most recent calculations point towards the end of 2012. Coincidence? The government as well as the general population of bureaucrats and businessman don't worry about anyone body or thing other than padding their own pockets and having the newest BMW in their driveway.

Global Warming is an increase in the average temperature of Earth's near-surface air and oceans in recent decades and its projected continuation. Global Warming might not happen now but it could be around the corner because of pollution around the world. Even if it doesn't occur soon future generations of human and animal life will have to live with this problem. It can be stopped however with environment protection agencies and people around the world. Take a stand and get involved before it's too late.

since when is it the job of the government to take on a job that constitution does not give them. Why then are we allowing them to use scare tactics and brainwashing to get us to do what the government wants. So where is the proof that humans are the cause of global warming. it is a fact that the eruptions of volcanoes and other natural disasters along with cattle that have increased our green house gases.God help this country if all we can do is parrot what we are forced fed from the time we are born till we die. Long live free thought and speech on this independence day.

Are you kidding me... what do you mean "by then," in 50 years it would have horrible results. All these Hurricanes happening at a much more intense scale and sea level already rising, as well as these heat waves that are increasing--I cant believe you said "by then". And societies will not destroy eachother, what do you mean by this---it is moving forward, at least I think and hope, but neither one of us are fortune tellers to say whether society will destroy its self or not.
Worry about global warming for when your old and future generations. They will just ask, "What the hell were are grandparents thinking?" The govt. is run by the people and you are part of the people so why dont YOU do something about it, instead of waiting for someone to whipe your behind. And ask the govt. that----ask George Bush that? Atleast your asking though---its one small step closer to the solution if you ask---I mean the economy definetly wont suffer if the govt. does something. God only knows, but most likely no one is doing anything because its just one of those dumb society things, where something really really bad has to happen before there is a change. Actually thats how people in general are. People wont change unless they hit rock bottom---it is so sad that its like that.
I tottaly dont mean to be rude or anything but I cant believe the ignorance of this statement. I dont mean to offend, Im sure other people have the same feeling, but its hard to believe.

1. Because of over hype by the Chicken Little crowd. That and those seeking to cash in on the fear that the hype produces.
2. There is nothing (Short of exterminating 9/10ths of the worlds population) that the government can do to prevent or forestall Global Warming.
3. There is no creditable evidence that Global Warming will do more harm than good.
4. In any event, Global Warming is marching forward slowly (as it has for centuries) and we can adapt to any changes as they occur.

I am not worried because there has been more severe warming (although from natural causes) more than once in Earth's past. It was not a problem for life then and it won't be now. The fact that the cause this time is artificial is of no importance. All that counts is that it is warming. It has warmed before and will again, even if there were no people on Earth. Anyway, it will stop all by itself when we run out of coal and oil to burn.

It is not going to happen in the future, you need to realize it has already happened. The extreme weather events being experienced around the world are evidence of that. The question now is can we slow or stop the process and mitigate the effects. Governments are slow to act because their entire economies are fossil fuel based.
