How long did it take you from time of application to get your passport?

My cousin applied for his in early March and got it in mid June - and that was after having it expedited from the congressman. At the end of his 12th week of waiting, he was told by the passport people that they hadn't even started on it yet. At that point, the called the congressman and had it rushed. He ended up getting it 2 days before they left for Europe.

If your trip is coming up soon, I would try to get a tracking number for the passport people and see if it's en route to you. If not, call your congressman and ask them to expedite it because you are leaving soon - good luck!

The government is not kidding you...It can take that long. It's gotten worse since 9/11.

There is nothing you can do now to expedite it. That was an option at the time of application but not now.

When I renewed my passport in March, 2001, I got it in less than a month but it was a renewal. I assume you are talking about an initial application....

Mine took 10 1/2 weeks. It arrived the second week in April.

the applying will take approximately 30-forty 5 minutes, except your sister has been divorced, interior the armed forces, or is vacationing for motives different than trip....... trouble-free app ought to take basically 0.5 an hour.

I applied for mine in early January of this year. It arrived in Mid-March.
