last year I could run my searayder jet boat 4 times the distance it goes this year on a tank of gas.?
What could cause this? My son thinks I might need the jets replaced. Has anyone else had experience with a problem like this. The boat is a 1996 15 ft.

Have you noticed an appreciable change in top speed? That may indicate damage to the pump jet.
Or are you simply seeing an increase in fuel consumption? Are you carrying more weight this year? Are you carrying more passengers? Are you going faster?
I suppose your motor is carbed, not fuel-injected... it sounds like your floats or jets are seriously out of whack. Carburetor service is not for the faint of heart or the mechanically un-inclined. Take the boat to a certified mechanic if you don't feel qualified to work on the carbs.
If the engine was not properly winterized, you may have gummed fuel in your carbs, causing poor economy.
