How do I resolve a question without a Best Answer being assigned?
I have asked a question a couple of days ago. However, there is only one answer (which I guess by definition means it is also the best answer). I do not want to give this answer as the Best Answer as it is blatantly obvious he was after the points rather than making any attempt to be helpful. The answer is not a satisfactory answer. I don't want the question to go to vote, simply because being the only answer, it will be voted as the Best Answer.
So how do I resolve the question to stop Yahoo Answers looking for a Best Answer without actually assigning a Best Answer?
The question I am referring to is http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Ah...
Thanks to those who are answering and being helpful.

If you don't feel the answer deserves a Best Answer, just don't do it. NEVER award a Best Answer to an unsatisfactory one!
Delete your question instead. You can delete it up until the time it goes to voting; after that it's out of your hands. You won't get the 3 points for choosing a Best Answer, but you will prevent a user from getting 10 undeserved points for a bad answer.
For the same reason, do not let it go to voting.

If you dont assign a best answer, the yahoo community will vote to see who gets the best answer

Edit: I may, for some insane reason have a thumbs down, but I am so happy that my advice worked:
THERE IS NOW A GREAT ANSWER AT THE LINK YOU POSTED ABOVE. GOOD LUCK TO YOU.....
--------END OF EDIT: The following is/was my ANSWER
Add a detail above by putting your cursor on the pencil, and in that detail tell people here what the question is. Give the link, and perhaps you'll get more answers.

you can't. If you don't choose a Best Answer yourself, it will automatically go into voting. You can vote for "no best answer" but you just have to hope that others vote for "no best answer" along with you.
- How do you think about the answers? You can sign in to vote the answer.

You could post a link to it on this question, and see if it gets any answers now, and pick one of them I suppose. If you're that bothered. I'd answer it myself, but I haven't got a clue...

Here's what I ALWAYS DO when THAT HAPPENS::
Give them the BA anyway, GIVE THEM ONE STAR, AND TELL THEM YOU DIDN"T APPRECIATE THEIR ANSWER IN YOUR COMMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
