It is Yahoo Answers that sometimes gives out free stuff, not Yahoo. You have to watch your Profile and the front page of Yahoo Answers for these offers.
Recently, you could sign up to "go green" (be ecologically correct) and if you were at Level 2 or above by June 13, you could get what they are calling an "eco bag" around here. It is a cloth bag for shopping. But that offer is closed now.
All such offers to date have been for US users only, due to postage issues.
