whats the best to be, tactful, pc, or truthful?
some people on here when they see difficult questions, answer the way they think others want to see. not what they feel, as in race questions, everyone is so prim and proper living the dream, you liars. if daddies girl comes home with a different race/colour gentleman, daddy would silently seeth, but say "so long as shes happy." cus thats what people want to hear, your scared to be outright and honest.

There is no substitute for the simple honest truth. And the sooner you get to it the better for all concerned. You see the thing is this, you can hide the truth, but not change it. It won't go away. The truth is the truth and needs to be faced. Those who want to put their head in the sand, do it. But not me. Hiding from it won't make it go away. Face it

Tactfully truthful should fit the bill.
No point in lying but why offend someone, discuss your reservations logically and reasonably.
If that fails stamp your feet, beat the table with your fists and scream and shout ill considered thoughts sprinkled liberally with obsenities, obviously use a backhand sweeping motion to clear whatever remains on the table after a good beating, finish what you want to say, generally make a complete fool of yourself and storm out of the room slamming the door behind you before anyone can get a word in.
One or the other will usually work

I answer the way I feel and being honest I don"t understand racism from either side, to me people are just people. Saying that, tact is always the best way as I think tact is the truth without hurt , I don"t reckon its a lie.

Speak for yourself - I'm not scared of anything, and I don't give a damn what others think including little ol you.
I would say it all depends on the situation, if your daughter bought home a black guy I wouldn't recommend you say I don't want my girl going out with a black guy, unless of course you want them to re bell against your words.
Be tactful when talking to your daughter in private and to her you can be truthful, but again she may still re-bell.
Your choice big daddy

Truthful. Now that you have my answer to your question, here is some insight. Truth is governed by many things, not th eleast of which is care for the feelings of those you love. Truthful? Definitely, be that way, in ALL you do, including love. Be true where true merits, and be loving where love merits.

the truth is allways the best, say what you feel , and as you said yourself be outright and honest, theres no better way than that.

Always put a truth within a lie, that way its easier to swallow!
