Alright, I have a question about a hate group (The KKK)?
The KKK in its past, and also in its present, targets persons being part of certain ethnic groups and either harasses, tortures, or in very harsh circumstances kills them. So I ask you, does this qualify them as terrorists, and could we use the PATRIOT act to end their hateful group? Just a thought...please don't try to get me kicked off for this, i don't mean to offend

Terroism is to create fear and terror in order to disturb the social, economic and pollitical stability of a pupulation or country. Hate groups are just that: people who hate other people, and come togather and have meetings (sometimes). So no, the KKK does not qualify as a terrorist group (it might have, in the past, but today's KKK is harmful only to the public opinion and the groups they hate by boicott mainly, not by violence). To qualify as terrorist, a group must be actively creating chaos and violence. The present day KKK only manipulates things thru subterfuge, pollitics, and ignorance (their own).

historic previous is what it fairly is; we will not replace what occurred. comparable element with the N observe. If blacks say it its ok yet whilst whites say it its hate. i know all this would not look ordinary yet neither became slavery. we've 1000's of years of injustice to attempt to stability out. Why concern approximately how issues are? you have the dazzling to communicate your techniques, even once you're a hater like human beings interior the KKK. I do ought to disagree with you that there is not any longer something incorrect with the KKK; what's next Nazis? Is there no longer something incorrect with them additionally? look at skinheads for occasion. no count what your shade, you would be extra constructive off residing in a community complete of NAACP supporters than you may in a neo-nazi area. God forbid you ever bypass to reformatory and come upon the Aryan Brotherhood. Being a white guy won't help you there. Its the violence linked with a team that makes it suitable or no longer. The NAACP has continually rejected violence, for this reason it survives particularly unblemished to on the present time.

As awful as the KKK is, there is no way to rid the world of them. Just like terrorists, we will never be rid of them. It is a sad thing that the KKK doesn't even realize that they are not as pure as they would like to believe they are. Skin heads seem to take on the beliefs of Hitler and the Nazi's but if they check their history, they will see that even Hitler would have them removed from the world. As long as there is hate and ignorance in this world, then groups like the KKK and terrorists will forever exist.

Terrorism is defined by a number of criteria[1]
o Violence,
o Psychological impact and fear,
o Perpetrated for a Political Goal,
o Deliberate targeting of non-combatants,
o Unlawfulness or illegitimacy,
though they may support the extinction of a type of people they cant be terrorists until they actually commit a violent act. Then, of course, they and the people who support/fund/ etc would also be in trouble.

That is a very well put question. Why? Yet when someone it seems that looks like or has a relative that is suspected of being associated with terrorism is immediately put to task. And why not the KKK? And let's also include the Hell's Angels and the like.

As horrible a group they are. And despite the countless acts of unforgivable violence that have stained their hands, they are PROTECTED by our government. Not that I agree with this (I don't), but they have a right to hate whoever they want and talk about it all they want that's our first amendment : Freedom of religion, speech, press, petition, and assembly. They can only be punished for their single acts of crime when they are suspected and caught, and even then they have the right to a fair trial. Sad but true, they are American citizens and they have the same rights as everyone else.
But it is in my opinion that if the government truly wanted to act on their racist groups they could build up a large enough case to disband it. But they don't. ::sigh::

Theres a such thing called "freedom of speech". it is not illegal to take part in any "group" be it is the KKK, the Black Panthers, "gangs",etc; but when you cross the very fine line of expressing your views and using combative, derogatory language,or acting out in a harmful or destructive fashion with you views, then its an issue.

The government does the same thing and even Bush has secret underground ties. Some groups are allowed to be because we can infiltrate and gain information that we would otherwise not have organized access to. It is all a planned , methodical, deceptive ploy when we allow groups like this to exist under freeedom of speech laws. Hell, they allow NAMBA to be protected under those rights to. Thats how we can keep tabs on who those fu#@ers are.

The K.K.K. expresses their right to speak. They talk about what they feel and what they are, and what they represent. They don't say hang this person because of this, or torture this person for this.... whether they even do that or not. The torture, killing, and hanging is not what the K.K.K. directly represent, so no it is not terrorism. Iraqi and such terrorists are openly expressing their want and need to kill. Hope this helps, and I in no way represent the K.K.K. nor am I follower.

You've got a point there. I won't try to get you kicked off for posing the obvious. Isn't our world just full of double standards and hypocrisy? I've yet to understand the difference between supremists and terrorists.
