Why does my friend tell everyone his marks except for me?

My friend studies the same subjects as me, but when he gets his exam results, he tells other people (in our course) and other friends what he got, but he doesn't want to tell me.

When he asked me how I went, I told him just to show that I'm open, but he doesn't reply when I ask him "How did you go?".

I feel like he is being stingy/tight/biased towards me, and that it's unfair. And also I feel that by him being so tight with me, it's as if we're competing against each other, even though I don't want it to be that way.

I've had this problem before as well. Maybe he feels like there's a competition between you. Also, maybe you do better than him, so he is sort of embarassed to show you his work. He shows other people because he knows he did better than them. Just a thought. If you want, tell him you don't want to compete, and if not, just let it go. Knowing eachother's grades isn't too important :)

Well in his mind, you may be competing against each other. He may not have done as well as you did, and he might not feel comfortable telling you. Just strive to do your best, it's all that you can do.
