  • Do "Auto Hot Key" .exe files work on Mac OSX and Linux?

I have converted a Dvorak.ahk file into a Dvorak.exe file . The Dvorak.exe file works on other Windows computers which don't have the actual AHK program installed. This means that the keyboard that I use will act like a Dvorak keyboard.

I was wondering if the .exe file will still work on Mac OSX and Linux seeing that the AHK program uses Windows as its main platform?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Does being outgoing make you more likely to be mature?

I ask this coz in one of my previous questions, somebody told me that Maturity is gained from experience. If an outgoing person talks to people a lot, then technically would that make him more experienced in socializing etc, hence more mature?

  • Would native speakers of Romance languages be able to understand + reply back to people who speak Interlingua?

By reply, I mean in actual speech. I'm hoping that learning Interlingua would be a short cut to be understood by speakers of Romance languages...

  • Is it possible for a sheltered/inexperienced person to be wise and mature?

By sheltered or inexperienced, I mean somebody who doesn't go out much or rarely takes part in extracurricular sport/activities/jobs outside of school. Is it a *MUST* to get outside and receive life experience in order to be mature?

    Thanks in advance.

  • What does this make me compared to my classmates?

I'm 20, and am a 2nd Year student at University. The majority of the people I've met in my course laugh and make jokes/banter about things which I don't understand or find funny at all. And they engage in so much gossip and trivial topics like TV shows and celebrities. I find most of the conversations dull and shallow.

I don't mind doing some small talk so I can just communicate for the sake of communicating without appearing to ignore them. But it's as if banter/gossip/small talk is all they care about. When I do try to talk about something deeper/philosophical things, they're reluctant to talk about it, they ignore what I say, or they make jokes on my comments.

I'm not upset coz I have friends outside my Uni course but I'm a bit annoyed in the way they behave. I feel like the black sheep within my year, like I don't really fit in. I do find some things humorous/amusing, but the antics and stuff they say/do is just too much in my opinion!

  • If you *permanently* delete your Facebook account, will ALL of your data be deleted from their servers/hubs?

By ALL of your data, I mean EVERY single wall post on friends' walls, profile status, profile information, group posts, events, inbox messages etc.

Will they be permanently deleted from Facebook's servers so they can't access my info?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Why is it when I try to have a full night's sleep, I end up having a nap only?

It's been happening for several weeks now. I try to go to sleep at around 11PM, but I automatically wake up at around 1 - 2 AM. I try to go back to sleep but it's nearly impossible coz when I just close my eyes in bed I'm still conscious for 6 hours straight. So I end up staying awake until 8 AM or so until I genuinely start to become tired.

But this is especially bad coz I'm attending Uni now, in which I have lectures starting at 9 AM, so I'm quite drowsy then...

Any explanations or solutions to fix this would help, thank you in advance.

  • What do people mean when they say "She is popular"? And why is it wrong to "try to be cool"?

By popular, do they mean that lots of people know who she is? Or that lots of people like her and are her friend?

  • What does being "cool" or "popular" mean? And why is it bad/wrong to "try to be cool"?

By popular, does that mean being well-known among lots of people even though they don't really know you, or that everyone likes you etc?

  • What is "cool"? And what is wrong/bad about "trying to be cool"?

There are 2 girls I know in my Uni course, let's call them Sarah and Lisa. And one time during the Mid Year holidays, I was hanging around Lisa and her high school friends for a short while, and in the conversation she said she hated Sarah.

I asked her why, and she said that Sarah "tries to be cool". She said she and her friends already knew about it coz they went to her high school.

Why is it hateful/despicable to "try to be cool", but it's ok to already be cool?!

And what do they mean by "cool"? Do they mean well known/recognized, or liked by everybody?

    Thank you in advance.

  • How come when I talk to friends on msn, they go offline without saying bye bye?

This has happened many times to me so far. I get a bit disappointed that they didn't say bye bye to me. Because usually I say bye bye to them. Or when they are online but I ask them a question, they don't reply to me, then they just go offline? : (

  • Why does my friend tell everyone his marks except for me?

My friend studies the same subjects as me, but when he gets his exam results, he tells other people (in our course) and other friends what he got, but he doesn't want to tell me.

When he asked me how I went, I told him just to show that I'm open, but he doesn't reply when I ask him "How did you go?".

I feel like he is being stingy/tight/biased towards me, and that it's unfair. And also I feel that by him being so tight with me, it's as if we're competing against each other, even though I don't want it to be that way.

  • Will my friends look down on me (personally) if I am Naive?

I was at university with my friend and we bumped into another person from the same high school. We started talking, and later on, he said I was a bit Naive, and the other person said I was a bit "Ignorant", but not as ignorant as other people I know.

I was quite embarrassed, and I felt bad in front of them. I'm not a cheerful person, and I definitely wasn't happy at that time.

Do you think they will treat me with slight disdain because of those 2 traits?

  • Why do I have a high fibre diet yet still have constipation?

I am 18 male, not overweight. I eat All Bran cereal for breakfast, and I eat a sandwich with wholemeal bread for lunch. I also eat enough fruits and vegetables. I am a Vegetarian so I rarely eat fastfood, and not much junk food either. And I think I drink enough water.

But I have trouble with my bowel movements and the stools aren't big, lots of smaller ones instead. I have to exert force just to get it out.

Is there something which I need to do?

    Thank you in advance.
