Will my friends look down on me (personally) if I am Naive?
I was at university with my friend and we bumped into another person from the same high school. We started talking, and later on, he said I was a bit Naive, and the other person said I was a bit "Ignorant", but not as ignorant as other people I know.
I was quite embarrassed, and I felt bad in front of them. I'm not a cheerful person, and I definitely wasn't happy at that time.
Do you think they will treat me with slight disdain because of those 2 traits?

If they are really your friends they wouldn't look down on you for being naive. Real friends accept you for who you are. Everyone has faults they could do without. That's is what makes us all human. I hope you will feel better about who you are. I used to worry about things like that, but now I just ignore comments that would normally make me upset. Just be yourself, who cares what any one else thinks.

I hope not. If so, you're friends have a lot to learn about being a friend!
Naïveté and ignorance, though not desireable, are not distainful traits. It simply means that you haven't experienced enough of the world yet and you haven't been informed. Nothing wrong with that. You are young, so most likely bound to be naive. Keep in mind that the official definition of being naive is this:
1. having or showing unaffected simplicity of nature or absence of artificiality; unsophisticated; ingenuous.
2. having or showing a lack of experience, judgment, or information; credulous: She's so naive she believes everything she reads. He has a very naive attitude toward politics.
3. having or marked by a simple, unaffectedly direct style reflecting little or no formal training or technique: valuable naive 19th-century American portrait paintings.
but usually when people use the word they don't mean it this way, they only mean that the person is too innocent to suspect otherwise.
No worries, it's not a bad thing! If you've led a sheltered life so far, be greatful for that! Life will come your way and the hardships of the world will sink in fast, but if you haven't had to deal with it so far, be happy for it! Just try to remember that your friends might not have been so lucky so they might hold resentment towards you for it. This is not your fault and not theirs, but they probably wish for that innocence that you have.

Don't worry about it, People who call others naive and ignorant are usually not as sophisticated and knowledgable as they would like to think. They are simply making themselves feel better by looking down on you. Many other people may look at the same traits in a much more positive way.

I don't know. I think it depends on what you said. Did you insult someone? Usually people don't say things like that unless someone is out of line or they don't like them. I would ask them what they meant by what they said. Maybe it's time for some new friends that understand you better. And, you can work on growing, as we all do, with nicer people who care about you.

I'm not sure in what way you are "ignorant", but it sounds like they are just in their post-adolescent, "I'm in college and that makes me a worldly genius!" phase. Don't let them get to you. Just laugh it off and forget about them.

yes i guess.. but still, it depends on the kinds of friends you have.. Real friends wouldnt treat you that way even if you are not the wise or even if you say that you are "ignorant"..
