Ear Piercings Keep Closing?

If I don't keep earrings in, my piercings close (in less than a day). Advice for this problem?

Update:

I got my ears pierced almost two years ago, and I'm still having problems. I kept the original earrings in for six months, then I began to change them out.

well, how long ago did u pierce them. this is something my mother did for me while i was still little. after u pierce your ears, before wearing earings, you need to keep them open by pulling a string through the lobe to keep it open for a while, tie it together and dont take it off until you think its ready enough to keep open. after this, in order to take the string off (advice: leave it on for 2 weekd or so) just snip it. it will probably stay open for ever now. the last time i wore the string was in the 2nd grade, im now in the 7th grade and i dont wear earings every day and they are still open.

    hopw this helps.

i know some answer readers are wondering how this works, if you've never worn earings before, u wont know what metals ur alergic to. this strand will keep it from infecting as much as some metals.

It's your body's way of saying "Get this thing out!!!!". Advice for it is to leave them in every day for at least a year or so until the hole becomes permanent. Of course, permanent holes can suck, especially if you've gauged your ears because then you end up being an adult and past your piercing phase and end up with 23 random holes in your body still and stretched out earlobes.... sorry, lol I was talking about myself. Point is, don't gauge your ears and if you think that you might regret having hole marks in your ears when you get older, take the earrings out now.

Uh-huh. I have the same problem. I've gotten my ears pierced THREE times because of that. There's only one solution: keep earrings in. Someday, they will completely heal and you can take them out, but until then, keep them in. I keep mine in 24/7. Even in the shower sometimes. When you clean them, you don't have to put another pair in IMMEDIATELY, but soon. My biggest tip: Make sure if you're going on a trip, or a school thing (don't know if you're in school) that you bring an extra pair cause you might need another.

Well you are supposed to leave your earings in when you first get them in for like a month while twisting them every morning and every night. And also cleaning them with rubbing alchohol
