It's a fiction. It will only impact ANYONE if frightened townsfolk let draconian laws get passes to suppress business growth in order to fight an imaginary bogyman.

For non-mitigated scenarios -- or, if we don't do anything:

    2011-2030: 0.5 - 1° C rise in temperature from mid 20th century means.

    2046-2065: 1-2° C rise.

    2080-2099: 2-3.5°C rise.

Precipitation: slightly dryer in Florida and the Gulf Coast (-.1 mm/day) and slightly wetter north of there. Increasing dryness going south and west, increasing wetness going north of the FL-GA-TN line. General decrease in cloud cover 2-3%, more in dryer areas.

Decrease in soil moisture 0-5% in most areas (worse towards the Mississippi valley) driven by increase in evaporation of around 0.2mm /day (more in north, less in west). Little change in runoff, following precipitation patterns.
