Ear Piercings Keep Closing?

I got my ears pierced a couple of years ago, and I left the earrings in about 4 months before I changed them out.

It seems that I cannot take out my earrings for more than about 10 seconds without them closing up and being difficult to insert a different earring. Help.....

i have multiple peircings and when i first started it did that too

so i just used vaseline as SOON as i took the earring out

that kept it from closing and helped speed up the healing process

Go to a good quality piercer and ask them to pierce your ears (I'm assuming they've healed up again) at a 16 gauge or a 14 gauge. This is a slightly bigger hole/jewelery, which means when they're healed and you go to change the jewelery, they won't close up immediately.

Most ear piercings done with a gun are either a 20 or 18 gauge. This is really tiny and people that have really elastic skin find these holes close up really quickly.

Personally, whenever i get my ears pierced (i have 11 presently) I leave the jewelery in for over a year, even for my lobe piercings. I just forget they're there, and I've never had a problem with them closing up.

Hope I helped some! Don't worry about getting ear piercings with a needle. It honestly hurts less than with a gun, and it's waaaayyy easier to heal.

I have the same problem!!! It is just the way our ears are I guess... Every time I take an earing out the hole closes like within seconds and I've had mine pierced for over 10 years. I've just gotten used to popping them through.

Studs are definitely the best way to go. I even sleep in my studs. I wouldn't suggest you wear the same pair for 4 months unless you clean them. Always make sure you clean the piercing with alcohol and clean your studs. You can get a bacteria infection if you don't .

Well you have to leave them in you cannot defy your body, it is trying to heal so unless you keep them in it will heal itself.
