A lot of Mac evangelists now support running Windows with bootcamp?

Before the Intel switch, the Mac VS PC war was strong. Mac fans blasted PCs as lame sick feeble machines (total bs). They praised OSX as if it were the 11th commandment.

Now all of a sudden Mac fans suggest that if someone wants a new laptop running Windows, "just get a Mac and run bootcamp!"

This is strange. Now it almost seems acceptable to Mac fans to run Windows because running Windows on a Mac is considered a feature and a selling point. What happened to all the Windows is evil and terrible preaching?

Are Mac fans so desperate to convert anyone and everyone who will listen that they will settle on converting people just to the hardware platform, and forfeit the software battle? People love to find other people who like what they like because it validates them.

Update:

OH, and people aren't forced against their will to use Macs if they want access to Apple software?

The PowerPC architecture and the PC architecture are pretty much similar to begin with, so the people who said that are pretty stupid. I support mac before windows, because it is a UNIX and i have since OS X came out. I'm not a mac evangelist, i don't even own a mac, yet i think that the mac people realize that most games are for windows and if you want to use them(and most people do), they are forced against their will to use windows. And it is a selling point anyway.

Compared to Windows, any UNIX is a huge "11th commandment," as you call it.

Vista handles booting in a various way then residing house windows XP so it won't paintings in the form the utility is now yet perhaps apple gets a greater proper version of bootcamp that emulates a common pc bios or something or (yeah perfect) microsoft will make a undeniable version of vista to run on macs (in no way)

People aren't forced against their will to buy anything. They simply come to a realization that some things have their advantages in certain situations and if you want something company x doesnt offer then you go to the other company that does.

Just thank whoever is responsible that there is any compatibility at all, because for a long time there wasn't
