What Do Americans Want To See In The Next President Of The United States Of America?

The question is a difficult one for two reasons-

1. Americans typically don't really know what they want. Often their decisions are driven not by actual principles in their lives, but by popular opinion. Folks go down to the polls voting with their sense of community (what will fit them in with their friends) rather then their sense of conscience. It is not hard to see why this has happened, but it is the truth. Americans in the end don't know what they want unless their friends tell them.

2. For those Americans who actually are not caught up by item 1 above, voting has become a "pick-and-choose" game with the options ranging from "bad" to "worse". Americans may in fact want an intellegent and wise president who leads with effectiveness from an experience in leadership, but they will not have a candidate to choose from that will actually meet the bill. Instead they are stuck with just two choices- A]a charismatic but moral reprobate (we call them democrats), B] a witless but charming personality who has reasonable morals without actual leadership quality's that don't emanate from a life of priviledge (we call them republicans) .

So, assuming that you recognize those limitations to the question, you must concede that Americans don't have much to choose from. They have the typical list of reds and blues, with the possibility of a billionaire independent making a run. It's a silly game for most actual thinking people because the ability to choose a true leader is rarely the opportunity given to the voter. When it does happen, those votes are often drown out by a popular TV personality or other celebrity candidate. The sillyness with all of it outwieghs the responsibility that it actually alludes to. And this is very sad. Because the office of President in the US is a truly world changing opportunity.

If the odd American is able to see past all these barriers and find a candidate in the haystack that can prove to be more than just straw, our only hope is that the candidate has a significant warchest of funding to allow him/her a good chance at getting attention.

I would like to see candidacy available to more people than the two party heirarchy, and yet not at the behest of the money spending ability of the candidate.

What people really want. If they can see past all the above, they want this-

a true leader with real organizational leadership of success

a person who balances the financial responsibilities of a nation with the real needs of the same

a person who is compassionate but able to operate within real limits

a moral person with progressive understanding of people, religion and integrity

I want a President that is honest and not about making a profit for himself or his administration. He must be trustworthy. Someone that will LISTEN TO THE AMERICAN CITIZENS. There has been way more than needed scandals and lies being told over the last several years (not just Bush). I do not believe you should vote someone into Presidency because of your political party because there are definitely more qualified candidates in more than just your own party. I think a woman could do the job and because of being a woman she would strive harder to do the job. I don't necessarily agree that it should be Hillary. Big business is too much into the decision making of a President. They give and give as long as they get. We the little people of the USA then have to work 2 or 3 jobs to make ends meet. This country is supposed to be about all it's people not just the ones that have a lot of money.

Just kidding, with all seriousness though i really do not want Hillary Clinton to win. First off i do not want universal health care that will not only destroy the quality of medical care but also drive thousands of doctors including 2 of my friends parents out of business. In addition to this the loss of all those people's jobs could cause a second economic collapse. Secondly a tax increase will severely hurt the economy, combined with Universal Health Care, she has the means to successfully kill the American economy. Lastly Hillary constantly alters her opinions in order to gain more votes we need people with constant opinions not ones that change based on the voters opinions. In addition to these facts my parents will be able to save a lot of money on a four year vacation to another country if she doesn't win. So as you can easily see people who are old enough to vote, don't vote for Hillary Clinton unless you have been saving up for a four year vacation.

Someone who isn't a liar, a thief, a war monger, a corporate welfare giver to their friends, and someone who cared about more than the wealthy. Almost all of America is not wealthy and times are NOT getting better for most! Just the opposite!

I don't want an independent splitting the vote again so a Republican can win. They can't win, and until they can raise the money, and get on the ballots of all the states, stay out of the race. You are a drain!

We are ready to get rid of Bush and we don't want 4 more years of a party that hates everyone and represents one class of people, WASPS!

I would like to see a president who will put the focus back on America and fix the problems we have here at home. This globalization thing is not working. America is getting the short end and the rest are getting rich. Losing our middle class means the poor will be absolutely forgotten and will further divide this country like never before. I am apalled that Americans are actually making homes out of shipping crates dumped here by China. That alone speaks multitudes.

I want someone who is honest atleast for the most part, and will abide by our constitution. I want him or her to be concerned about real issues, not cover stories to prevent the issues from coming up. Furthermore I think we need an independent to do this, the two parties are simply too caught up in bashing each other, rather than focusing on the public needs. Also, according to polls, america is ready for a woman in the white house.

Americans want an effective leader that can:

1)solve problems

2)has a vision for the future

3)has strong character

4)the right solution on the issues

That is why I believe Mitt Romney will be the next President.

I would like to have the next president well versed in international affairs who believes in a strong military presence and a government that's sole purpose is to protect us from our enemies. That's what it is supposed to do in the first place- not interfere in every facet of our daily lives.

Unfortunately there are people in America who think the purpose of the federal government is to take care of them from cradle to grave. If this country cannot defend itself nothing else matters.

I want to see a President who's not afraid to be racist, politically incorrect and tells the minority groups to go f uck themselves. A president who represents the wishes of the majority. Not this corporate, pro-minority fuc king clown scum we have in office right now.
