any good jazz theory books ( need bebob and blues scales)?

    Jamey Abersold is good...but you can figure the bebop and blues scales yourself:

    I'll write them in the key of C and you can transpose

    Bebop: C,D,E,F,G,A,Bb,B,C

    Blues: C, Eb, F,F#,G,Bb,C

    yeah i am taking jazz history.... mark c gridley jazz styles history and analysis. there is only a short section in the back of the book of scales and modes.... but the reading comes with cd's so you read about what you hear... it is a fun class.
