    Maybe.

Download and install. Not that complicated. If you don't like it, just uninstall.

Firefox won't necessarily speed up your computer, and I don't think you will notice any significant drop in performance either.

People switch to Firefox because it's a better (and more secure) browser than IE. IE is too integrated with the underlying Windows OS.

Windows picks up lots of "junk" in the daily usage, and that's cause of the slow down. If you want your computer to "speed up", that can be usually be fixed by cleaning/reformatting your whole unit.

It's really easy to switch to Firefox! Firefox is awesome! I'm using it right now. Just go here: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

to download a free version. Once the download is complete, just double click on it exactly like you would Internet Explorer.

No it won't, but you can't delete IE. IE is the internet portion of Windows Explorer, meaning its bundled into Windows. You can install Firefox and just make firefox your default web browser, but you can't really delete IE

I'm not one for foxfire, but all you have to do is download foxfire and in the setup it should ask you if you want to make it your default browser. If you don't like it, all you have to do is uninstall it and IE will be back as your default browser.

Here's the download site for ya: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

It wont affect your computer performance if your computer has the minimum requirements. also Firefox will not speedup your computer.
