Does anyone have a problem with geese in their neighborhood?
I know certain sub-divisions or neighborhoods have lakes and rivers near by with canadian geese swimming in them. Are these geese a bother? Are they a bother at the marinas? If so, what kinds of problems do geese create?

Canada geese gotta be somewhere and we've been ruining their habitat to build ours. Turn the other cheek. It's the least you can do.
The most would be to find suitable habitat for the species nearby and restore it so the geese will go there.

We kept geese and so did our neighbours. They are fantastic at keeping the grass down, great as intruder alarms and fertilizing the grass.
They are amusing, but small kids can get scared of them and they do have a strong 'nip'. They tended to chase my daughter around when she was small but she soon learned to be confident around them. Easy to make friends with some bread.
We had one goose who was pushed out by it's mother when it was still an egg. We saved it and it would follow us around and sit on our knees. He would sneak into the house as soon as your back was turned and settle down near the chair. Very cute.

Get a Shetland Sheep Dog (Sheltie). They will run after them tirelessly but won't harm them and they will leave.
