  • What's better, 2 x 512MB video cards or 1 x 1 GB video card?

Trying to build a multi-task machine that will be able to handle photo/video editing. Not really a gamer, I just hate having to wait for things to render.

  • Is it illegal for me to post copyrighted music on my website?

I am a professional photographer about to create his own website. I would like to have a slideshow gallery that depicted my work with music that I have purchased. If I give full credit to the original artist, would I be in violation of copyright infringement?

  • Unable to connect MyTouch phone to home wi-fi.?

Does anyone know why I can't connect my phone to my home router? I know how to use the wi-fi function on my phone, I have used it to connect to public hot spots and I know my router is working because all my other wireless devices connect to it just fine. I don't see any reason why the phone should not connect to the router. Any help?

  • How do I ensure my colors stay true to my creation?

Everytime that I edit my images, either in Photoshop or Lightroom and send (export) them to the web (either email/web gallery) the colors become muted and dull. I have checked to ensure that the images are either in Adobe 1998 or sRBG and nothing, the images still look like crap. I have to export my images (converting to jpg) and then color correct them using a 3rd party app to give contrast and saturation. Can anyone help?!

  • Why does my tire thump?

I have summer tires. When I go to work in the morning (cold) one of them thumps. After driving a bit, and the tires warm up, the thumping stops, and there is no thumping in the afternoons coming home. What could be causing this? Should I buy a new tire? I'd hate to since the tire still has great tread. On a semi-different subject, if I do buy a new tire, should I buy 2 or all 4. Again, all the tires are in good condition. (Did the coin test with both a quarter and a penny)

  • Can anyone recommend a background support system for a 12ft wide space?

I have been looking at background support systems, and would love to buy one that would take up all of the 12ft wide wall, but I know that the tripod supports need space too, so I guess that will eat up some space. I guess my best bet would be a 10 x X system. So, does anyone have any recommendation on those? Also, out of curiousity, how much space does a 12ft system take up (in total width)?

  • Does IS still function when using a teleconverter?

I am thinking about buying a Canon 2x II Extender EF - Autofocus to use with my Canon 20D and my 70-200mm IS f/2.8 lens. I understand that if I use the teleconverter with this lens that I will be limited to only using the center focus point of the camera, but the real trick is whether or not the IS function will still work or not. Any thoughts? Also, if you have used this product before, what are thoughts on it? Thanks.

  • When will movies be shot/encoded/produced in the x.v.color gamut?

I have a Sony XBR2 LCD which unfortunately does not display th x.v.color spectrum. So far it is not an issue because DVDs and Blu-Rays are not encoded with the x.v.color gamut, but I do know that at some point in the future the XV will become the norm. So, basically what I am asking is, when will my TV be "useless". (I realize that I will still be able to view movies and such, but it sucks that I would be missing out on the Blu-Ray's potential of deeper colors.)

  • Does anyone have a problem with geese in their neighborhood?

I know certain sub-divisions or neighborhoods have lakes and rivers near by with canadian geese swimming in them. Are these geese a bother? Are they a bother at the marinas? If so, what kinds of problems do geese create?

  • What are the advantages of having a off camera flash bracket?

It seems that most professional photographers that I have seen have used flash brackets. What advantages are there to having the flash off to the side rather than directly on top?

  • Does anyone know who the artist was for the 1994 Spider-man Fleer Ultra series?

I am a big Spider-Man fan and regard the early 90's as the best era for Marvel comics. I just want to know who the artist(s) was behind those awesome drawings.

  • Why are American cars inferior to foreign cars?

It seems that European or Japanese cars are better built than those from the US. Why is that? Is it because our culture is different, our American work ethic or our labor unions? America is the greatest country in the world. We invented the automobile, so why can't we make the best ones?
