Why did you sign a contract when you havent had service at your home for eight years?

Why have you stayed with them for so long. You usually only have a contract for a year, or possibly 2 years. You could have cancelled when that time was up. I would call and find out when your contract date is up, and cancel as soon as that date approaches. You could try telling them there is no service in your area. But I don't know how far that will get you.
