well, he's supposed to be infalliable ... but he probably never learnt to be political... he just says what the catholic church has believed since its inception... that all other are heretics.
dont forget we're almost 1000 years since the beginning of the previous crusades where the pope said very similar things.

I'm Protestant, and what we stand for makes sense to me. In my opinion, the catholic Church has too many regulations, and Jesus rejected those in the Pharisees. However, I was amazed and impressed to hear of a women who worked at a Catholic school and whose daughter had a baby outside of marriage, so I think all Churches that use the Bible have Christianity. If you have a Bible, you can interpret it correctly, and, therefore, all Churches with Bibles are Churches. Still, I suppose I will repeat that the Catholic Church has allot of stuff that isn't in the Bible.
Edit: Just read the second paragraph. Did it say he said Catholics should accept or deny other Christians? Did he say both?
