I'm taking suggestsion?

Ok. Here's a creepy problem that I'd like to get some input on. I have a stalker, she's calling multiple times to my voice-mail and does not want to reveal her identity.

My question is - how might I engage her / ask questions which might help me get some clues as to her identity.

I know the proper thing is to simply give people with a "private" number their privacy and not answer but this issue has peaked my interest in solving this problem.

Update:

Well, she's not being threatening, and she mentions that we went maybe to highschool together and that I worked in a town about 10 years ago. So she could either know me from some time ago, or know enough about me to throw that out there. On the flip side , I can't imagine too many successful marriages that start out with "Oh, I stalked him/her for 6 weeks and then finally...." I just don't see that happening here. I'm just trying to get some information out without causing having a "Bunny Soup" situation.

Avoiding is not going to solve your problem. Confront her in a professional-like manner. Speak to her and find out what she wants. If you didn't do anything to this person, you will not be afraid to speak to her.

What does she say on your voice mail? How long has this been going on? One suggestion is, you could leave your voice mail message (as in the one people hear when they call you) and let her know that your really interested in meeting her. It might give her the confidence to meet you. Just make sure it's not your girlfriend if you have one, trying to catch you out. lol

Dude, i had the SAME problem in college... girl would call and leave a song for voicemail, but would just listen if i answered. Finally, i caved and played the game, and just pretended to have a convo with the girl, and finally got her to at least mumble yes, no, etc.. (mhm and m-mm). Unfortunately, it took about a week, but she realized how STUPID she sounded by not talking, and quit.. crazy, huh? good luck with that...

Don't try this. She will probably think you're interested and do worse things. This can be dangerous.

Just ignore her and she'll go away.
