It depends on what you want out of it and how much you want to spend. I recently purchased a tenor myself, and I'd been searching for about a year for it.
If you're a beginner, I'd say go with one of the standard brands, like Yamaha, Unison, or Jupiter. They all make good, long lasting, great sounding horns.
If you've been playing for a while, I'd say look to those brands to find a step-up or intermediate model. These will usually feature a high F# key (a must for the professional as well).
If you're looking to get a pro horn, look towards guys like Keilwerth, Selmer, Yamaha pro models, or the brand that I bought, P. Mauriat. Mine is a relatively new brand, but it plays better than any other tenor I've ever tried. If you got any other questions, e-mail me.

my alto yamaha y-fifty two performed like a dream. i believe that's a considerable reason i became into 2d chair as a freshman in severe-college between 6 different alto-saxophonists. the only one above me became into an extremely proficient senior. yamaha...do not you in basic terms love asserting it? it is an just about expert form (a minimum of the only i had became into) it costed 2,3 hundred dollars and became into well worth each and every penny.
