What puts the PINK in pink lemonade?

Sometimes grenadine is used to make it pink. But, I suppose another red juice like cranberry can be used.

You can also use variegated pink lemons and not have to add anything as they have pink flesh.

when I make my boys pink lemonade I usually add a little marichino cherry juice.

as for restruants and such, maybe just a little food coloring.

True pink lemonade has strawberries in it,delicious....

grapefruit juice, or food coloring. it tastes the same either way.

If you make it yourself you can use grenadine syrup, if you buy it premade you get food coloring.
