Microsoft office 2007?
I have office 2007 in my computer. I have to take some ridiculous computer class in order to finish my degree. They said that I need to have powerpoint, access, excel and reference. I have these with office 2007, but they (the school) said that in order for them to work, I need to have XP professional. I can access the 2007 word program, but when I click on the others, they do not come up. Do I have to purchase an upgrade? Any help would be appreciated.

You do not have to purchase another piece of software you can use 2007 but you need to save the files in a later edition. In each program when you copmlete your work, select save as... and select 2000-2003 compatible. For example, in word, do a file save as, under file type select 2000-2003 compatible and save it under the name you want. This is the file you will turn into your class. The diference is the format they are saved in people with older versions of office cannot read the new file types so you need to save them in the old format. nothing will happen to your file.

I assume you have Office Professional 2007. This should work on any version of XP as long as you are at Service Pack 2.
Any chance you don't have enough memory to run this plus whatever else you have going?

Are you saying that when you have done work and want to put it onto school computer it doesnt show up? If so when you save your work save it also as 97-2003 file. This makes it compatiible for lower version of office.

somebody has already provided you with the link to Open workplace. I even have been utilising it fo 4 years and have had very few compatibility issues in that element. I presently have the two MS workplace and OO on my gadget and, to be effortless, use OO around 75% of the time. issues look extremely glitch unfastened. And in case you opt for unfastened stuff, learn the Mozilla website, which provides a browser (Firefox), that i believe outperforms IE, and a mail utility (Thunderbird), that I even have had many sturdy comments approximately.
