Please help me! I completely do NOT understand the STAR concept. How does it work?
I have been a member a long time but I really do not understand the "star thing".... Yes, I'm really a blonde!
Do you star the question or star the answer? I asked a question and got 25 stars but only 5 answers....what does that mean? Why would someone star a question? Do you get any points for stars? I am sooooo confused!

Stars are for questions, to show you like them or to make it easier to look at them later. Anyone can give a star. You don't get any bonus points for getting stars and the giver can remove the star by clicking on the star again

Your starred questions show up show up on the home page of your network, so they will see them, unfortunately they will only see the most recent 3
You can use them to keep track of questions you may want to look back at that you think are good.
Next time you are on the page with the big star on click and read.
