" Gut Feeling " . . .Part 2?
If you're one of the people who believe that the Homeland Security Chief is fear-mongering , or trying to distract attention from the war in Iraq , would you please logically answer the following ?
Were the attacks in Great Britain phoney ?
Do you watch and listen to what the terrorists themselves say ?
Did you forget that the terrorists plainly said that their ultimate goal is to destroy the United States ?
Does it concern you that doctors were responsible for the attacks in Great Britain ?
Do you have professional experience in high-level law enforcement ?
Do you know what " Need To Know " really means ?
Do you know that 1000's of threats come in to our intelligence agencies EVERY WEEK ?
Do you think it's prudent to tell the American people about every one of them ?
Out of ALL the threats that came in prior to 9/11 , would you have been grateful for a " Gut Feeling " warning ?. . . and if so , then why not now ?

Earnest, Liberal's agenda is far more important to them than the mere loss of life, after all, Castro, Stalin, Mugabe, Pol Pot, Mao, and many others espouse the same Socialism that many of the Liberals on Y/A would love to see come to this country.
Their answers to your questions is just like the difference between ignorance and apathy... I don't know and I don't care.

Home Land Security Chief Chertoff is doing exactly the right thing. He is doing a balancing act between informing the Nation of a Credible Threat, and creating a Panic.
As Citizens, we must be vigilant. Know our Neighbors, be on speaking terms with our neighbors, and shear information, and be ever ready to report ANYTHING, or ANYONE that seems unusual.
On my part, I council Christians to get serious about Intercessory Prayer, come together with Neighbors, in each others Homes and Pray for America. Join together in your Churches and Pray for America. Pray for President George W. Bush. Pray for Home Land Security Chef Chertoff. Pray for our Military Personal.
Christians only Fail, when Christians Fail To Pray !

I believe that the threat is credible. I don't like Chertoff because of his stance on the amnesty bill. He probably should have not used the words "gut feeling", but maybe he knows something we do not know. I am always vigilant. I think that the terrorists want to keep us off balance though. I think it is good to use common sense. I never fly, but if I did, I would not feel comfortable at all if there were Middle Eastern men on the plane, or women for that matter. The Islamofascists are asking us to suspend our common sense and are laughing their butts off when the libs among us do so.

YES, some on the left say that EVERY SINGLE attack, video, warning, arrest, etc. is just for show.
The level of denial is positively clinical.
But there is some "logic" behind it, twisted as it may be. If one closes one's eyes to everything that has happened, before 9/11 and since, and focus only on the PERCEPTION of peace and safety during the Clinton years, if one thinks the whole threat is a hoax then it's easy to resolve. Just vote out Bush (or impeach him) and everything goes back to the (illusory) "glory days."
But if we really ARE facing a serious, existential threat from those willing to kill themselves in order to destroy us, then one has to acknowledge that we're in for a long, costly battle.
I'd rather belive it just Bush's creation.
But the reality is not so pleasant. Sane, rational adults don't have the option of ignoring it.

It doesn't matter to the liberals how many terrorists are out there.
It doesn't matter how much they want to kill us.
It doesn't matter about 9/11.
They will not admit we are at war with radical Islam.
The primary concern is to bash Bush at all cost.
If they raise the threat level and nothing happens it is a scare tatic by Bush.
If they find a plot and stop it is stage by Bush to remain in office.
If a plot G-d forbid was to happen and people are dead on the streets Bush will be blame in two ways:
1) He didn't do enough.
2) He did it and radical Islam is not for real.
Well folks the threat is real.
Take a look at what we are facing:
Many are upset about the 7 year war we are in needlessly, some are upset about the the obscene spending being done by our Federal Government, some are upset at how the Bush administration seems determined to undermine our constitutional rights and the fundamentals of our Democracy, some are upset about the degrading education system and the increasing number of ignorant citizens in America, some are upset that mortgage lenders have ruined their lives, some are upset that pays has not increased equal to things such as health care, the list goes on forever.

Very thought provoking and intended to expand on your prior question! I stilll think vigilance, common sense, due diligence, and a sense of self preservation should prevail !
I refuse to go into panic mode and to live my life in fear! I'm happy to know that I have someone like you to watch out for me, Earnest!

Hey, the hate bush fools can say what they want, I am taking Chertoffs gut feeling serious, and anyone who thinks this a wag the dog thing is just stupid.

Some will never believe simply because it's a Republican admin. saying ,we may get hit.
If we do get hit, blame the Republicans.
If we find and stop a plot,it's a phony plot.
The terrorists leaders are not stupid or uneducated and they will strike again at every opportunity.

All one can do is hope that another serious attack doesn't occur. But, like I said in your earlier post, having a gut feeling is a little light. There might have been a better way to say this!
