self employment ideas?
All 4 kids will be in school come August which means after 10 years of being at home I can finally get a job. Wherein lies the problem. I would like to be self-employed because I think I will have a hard time finding a job where I will be able to be off when school is out. I have tried to work at the school (crazy lunchroon lady) but there are no openings. I don't trust my self to drive a bus. (bad vision) So anybody out there have an unusual job that would work with my schedual? I've tried the surveys and I HATE cashcrate, treasuretrooper and those other sites. Thanks for your input!!
I have also tried cleaning houses in the past. I put out notices but with no response and after 10 years I would rather not babysit in my home.

I think you should try cleaning houses, or even small business. A lot of small business actually prefer if you come in during the day to do cleaning so they can make sure someone is in the office.
This time, instead of just only sending out flyers, really go for it. Gather a list of small businesses and do a mass mailing. Then, about a week later start calling. You should have a name for your business, it looks more professional. Just say "Hi, I'm SoAndSo with 'Busy Bee Cleaning Service' and I wanted to see if you had any need for cleaning services." Offer to provide them with a free estimate. You can also find out how much they are already paying for cleaning services so you can set your own prices accordingly.
Being successful at something like this really has a lot to do with your own drive and the amount to which you put yourself out there and market your business. Sometimes you have to go out and grab the customers yourself, they aren't always going to come to you, especially not at first.
So whatever you decide to do, just keep that in mind.
Good luck!

Gumball machine vending. Very low start up cost, but also a low rate of return for each candy machine. However, once you establish a route, you can make loads of passive income through vending. The customer's quarters will add up faster than you think.
