    The longest verse in the Bible is Esther 8:9

    (78 words in the King James).

    Revelation 20:4 is the longest verse in the NT in the original English translation.

    ...but keep in mind verse divisions haven't been around forever: the first added by Robert Estienne in 1551.

    The longest verse in the OT is the Esther one others have mentioned, and those verse divisions have been around longer.
