How do you get sticky gel stuff off the window?

My friend bought me these gel sticker things that go on the window. i kept them on the window for about a year and they kind of melted. now bugs die in them. i tried wiping them off with water and a paper towel, but it didn't work, now there is a smear on my window. (this is on the inside of my window) does anyone know how to get this stuff off? thanks

Because they are made from long-chain hydrocarbons (plastics), you'll need short-chain hydrocarbons to disolve them before you can wipe them off.  

Try WD-40 followed by windex.  If that doesn't work, acetone (nail polish remover) will do it for sure.  Don't forget ventilation!

By some straight edge razor blades like you use in science class.  You can scrape the stuff off without messing up the window.  Should only cost you a couple of dollars for a ten pack.  I do it all the time to get stickers off of my car windows.

Tried windex, 409, soap and water... nothing worked until I used Goo Gone.  Luckily, I had some here that a friend left after a project.  That dissolved the stuff fast.  Then we hit it with Windex and it polished right up!

take a razor to them to get a good portion of the adhesive off.   you may be able to get it all of with a razor blade, but if not  then use something like goo gone or goof off, or a comparable adhesive remover to get rid of the rest.

maybe try a razor blade and some windex (that got some stuff off my car windshield) or get some goo gone

A good adhesive cleaner should do the trick.
If not, WD-40 can do it too. :)
