Your house in on fire and you wake up. What do you do FIRST?

I had my house catch on fire twice and the first time I called the operator because I couldn't think of 911 and I yelled 'fire!'. The second time a person driving by saw my roof on fire and called 911. Both times I grabbed my daughter and ran.

get my whole family outta the house. And my laptop is always in its case next to my bed, so i can grab that at the same time. My most priced posesion (my Camaro) is parked outside so i have no problem with it burning down with the house.

or plan B...if the fire is not that strong yet, get one of the fire extinguishers in any of the rooms and put it out. at the same time yell to wake up the rest of my family to do the same.

STOP DROP AND ROLL no wait hold up thats if im on fire. if im n the house i scream iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii fire. then i would probably panic actin a fool then i would run out the house and call 911 from my cell

I would grab my cat, my old dog's collar that is hanging above my bed [along with his old ducky toy, which is also in reach], and the phone. Then I would run outside and call 911.

I know it's sounds like a lot, but trust me...I could do it really fast.

take my bearings, assess the situation, grab my baby, the phone, dial 911 and the diaper bag and fill to the max with formula, diapers, clothes and wipeys, give address & situation run outside place my child at a safe distance, run back inside, gather up the animals and some clothes and run out side again, and keep doing this over and over again till I can't no more.

Get dressed, grab a few photo albums and family heirlooms, run outside and use a neighbor's phone to call 911.

What i do is wake up my famalies and juat take my important things run away from the house. :p Why asking a question like that?

wake up my family, get out of the house, then call 911

Wake my husband and grab the kids...get out and then go back for the pets

1.If you room isnt on fire your supposed to feel the door to see if its warm aka fire on other side.

2. look under to check also.

3. if your not escaping through the window crawl through to an exit . CRAWL though so you dont inhale alot of smoke.
