is my heart rate to low?

i was having palpatations and went to doctor and was givin a monitor and they told me wile i sleep my heart rate was at 42 at on point they tell me its not a problem they say some people have slower that others the did the hole work up strees test echo tilt table said all was good

    that is low but if the dr says it is ok, I wouldn't worry about it. I have palpatations too. It's scary when you don't know what it is. I think mine was caused by dehydration. You might try drinking more water. at least 8 cups a day and see if that helps with the palpatations.

    As slower resting heart rate is generally regarded as healthier and desirable.

    Athletes or others who engage in constant physical activity have low resting heart rates. Some long distant runners have very low heart rates.

    If you doctor was concerned, he would tell you.

    As long as you are under a Doctor's care...and he has done tests.. I would definitely keep a close eye on the heart rate with your Doctor. Don't just go about not worrying about; which you are not doing, keep in check with your Doctor.
