do u watch man vs wild?!?

bear is frickin fantastical. they should mass produce him, and sell him at walmart, so the next time you get lost on an alaskan glacier, or the middle of iceland, you'll be able to find your way home.

I like watching his show. I never saw the urine episode, but I did see him pick up a snake before and take several bites from it.......guess it's no different than sushi though, raw. Yeah, it's crasy, but if we were stranded somewhere way off like that.....we'd do what we had to if we wanted to live to ya know? Yeah, I like his accent too, lol, he's pretty cool. If I'm ever stranded somewhere, I sure hope it's with him! I also saw him eat maggots (NOW THAT, NO WAY IN HELL!!) and also termites from a piece of rotten wood.

For me it would have to be grasshoppers, with some chocolate fondue!

Yes, Bear is amazing, yet still down to earth. He has published several books, and set a couple world records as well. He is the youngest person to climb MT. Everest, and broke his back in 3 places from a parachute fall. He was told he would never walk again. Very interesting person.

Its all bull crap. He has planned routes, staff members to save him should he get in trouble, and his accent doesn't exactly fit in very well with the wilderness.

Before he goes to a location he researches EVERYTHING about EVERYTHING so that he knows what is dangerous and what he can eat. Not exactly something you can do in a real survival situation.

He does pass along some good info, but I know he did not drink his own urine. The first thing we learn in hunters education is to NEVER ever drink your own urine.

When he was in the desert he took off his underwear and pissed on it, then he applied it to his head to "help cool himself off" which was totally something that should not be done. He could have just used his underwear for a hat and it would have absorbed his sweat, in effect doing just as good without having piss on his head. He never drank urine.

omg that dude is insane...i saw one episode where he was in the desert and he ran out of water, he drank his own urine, yea that was totally gross. but u do learn alot from him....

i learned there are certain bugs you can eat and how to cook meat in boiling water by using a shoe string

I don't like the show. It's all trumped up. On one episode he talked about how dangerous the jungle was and how he had to be on guard against all these dangers. Meanwhile 200 yards away there were children playing. It seems the innocent children were fairing just a good as this "commando". lol...

I saw that tonight. One time he ate the maggots right out of a dead animal. The other time he ate the dead animal.

yeah Bear Grylls is the man. it's a good show. it reminds me of jackass for some reason. once he just jumped in ice cold water for nothing. It's really cowld
