Side dishes for Shark Steaks with a cuban flair??
Picked up some shark steaks and have a bottled cuban mojo marinade, sounds good to grill- but what should I have for sides? Any ideas?

Gotta be black beans and rice, fried plantains, some mango juice. This will continue the Cuban theme.

Roasted Asparagus
1 lb asparagus
1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt (or 1/4 teaspoon regular table salt)
1. preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
2. cut off the woody bottom part of the asparagus spears and discard.
3. with a vegetable peeler, peel off the skin on the bottom 2-3" of the spears (this keeps the asparagus from being all "stringy" and if you eat asparagus you know what I mean by that).
4. place asparagus on foil lined baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.
5. sprinkle with salt.
6. with your hands roll the asparagus around until they are evenly coated with oil and salt.
7. roast for 10-15 minutes, depending on the thickness of your stalks and how tender you like them.
8. they should be tender when pierced with the tip of a knife.
9. the tips of the spears will get very brown but watch them to prevent burning.
10. they are great plain but sometimes I serve them with a light vinaigrette if we need something acidic to balance out our meal.

I have no idea what they are called, but my mom made these. 2 cans chopped chilies 1 small onion chopped 1 egg shredded cheddar flour to combine Mix all in pan then fry in no-stick pan until golden brown. Serve with sour cream.

They both are Ideal for your health. If you eat both, you're better off. But yea, I've choose fruits because they taste better.

It will depend on the fruit or plant involved with a comparison. If perhaps you compare a farrenheit to a carrot, the carrot is the better of the two nutritional. But since you compare an avocado to the carrot, then an avocado is better. The two the apple and avocado, are fruits.

Asparagus almost always goes great with fish. Scalloped potatoes or potatoes au gratin would also be a good choice.
