Can I give a 60 day notice and pay for the two months and move out earlier?

I gave my 60 day notice on 7/2/07 and plan on moving on 8/30/07. I paid for july and i intend on paying for the entire month of august as well. However, can I move earlier than the 30th if I've already paid for the entire month? Also, if I can do this will I be able to get my deposit back?

Once you have paid for August, you can leave any time you want, as long as it's before the end of August and you are not in a lease. You will still be able to get your deposit back as long as you leave the home clean and with no damage.

This would all depend on if you have a lease or a month to month rental agreement. if you are month to month then you can leave early without affecting your deposit as long as the property is undamaged. since you are paying your rent in advance you are not legally obligated to actaully live there, you simply can have a rental property and keep it empty, that is completely your perogative. Many landlords would be happy that you are leaving early since you can then give them permission to enter the premises and make any changes they want before the place is on the market, so they can find a renter right away and minimize the loss of revenue.

Yes, you can give a 60 day notice and pay for the 60 days up front and you can vacate the premisis at any time. Your landlord however cannot re-rent the property until your 60 days is up because they would be collecting double rent on that property.

Yes. If your place is in acceptable condition, then you should be able to get your deposit back. My h/b and I had to pay off 3 months of our lease when we bought our house. The landlord made out quite well on the deal b/c he had it rented w/in a month!

I'm sure if you give a at least a months notice it should be fine. But this fully depends on your contract with your landlord. Best to review, your contract and talk to your landlord about this. good luck
