Showing Labrador?
I am interested in training and showing my labrador. I am also going to be breeding her. I was hoping that someone out there can give me some information and hits about showing. She is three months old. I realize that they must be six months to show. Any advice is wonderful. Also I was looking at previous lists from current compeitions that are coming up in my area. Can anyone tell me what the numbers between the dashes stand for?
Total: completed: 9 - 1-4-(3-1)- 0
Thanks in Advance for anyone that can help.

Find a mentor. Find a training facility. I've given classes on conformation handling but find it incredibly difficult to make sense in writing. If you cannot find a trainer my suggestion would be to watch the Jr. Handlers at the shows... usually they are better than the adults. I find one on one instruction to be the fastest way to learn. Its a great hobby.. just remember the times when you don't win or get a ribbon, its just one judge's opinion and you STILL love your dog... and HAVE FUN!! There's really no point otherwise!
the numbers indicate:
9 total entered
1 male non-champion
4 female non-champions
3 male specials (champions)
1 female specials (champions)
0 non-regular entries (such as veteran's)
