laptop screen replacement?

A new LCD will run you about $100-150 on Ebay.

A used one you might be able to get for under $100.

They're not terribly hard to replace if you're mechanically inclined. I've replaced the LCD on my Gateway and it works just fine.

I service laptops and to replace the screen the hard drive is not touched all you do is und a few screws underneath the laptop, undo the bit under the screen where the pwr button is and take that off, disconnect the wires and maybe also pull out the palm rest where your touch pad mouse is and then pull out the keboard, then you can disconnect the screen from the motherboard of the laptop and slide it off the hinges and then slide the new 1 in to place and put it all back together.........EASY! That process doesnt apply to all laptops as they are all different

New Egg. You might be better off sending it out for repairs it might be cheaper than buying a screen. Google notebook screen replacement. I have seen prices as low as $100.

Ebay, I have a dell insprion 6000 I have found a lot of cheap screens on there mine is messed up but still usable so when it goes completely out I will buy me a new one.

eBay has buy it now prices from $99 to $159 for Dell 2200 screens. Many used ones sold for $75.

You can replace it yourself or pay a local shop to install it.

I assume it is no longer under warranty because if it is Dell will usually send a tech out to you to fix it free of charge.

Maybe on eBay, but normally it is more economical to just purchase a new laptop.

try e-bay. they usually have good once-in-a-while deals. Otherwise, try contacting Dell... If your lappy is under warranty, this should be easy for you...
