Whats the best pressure to opperate my HVLP gun when spraying pearl?
Im shooting chromabase 2 stage with a basecoat of Chryslers Plumb Crazy. I plan to clear with PPg's DU1000. have had alot of dryspray at 8-10psi and lousy coverage at lower pressures.
Any help would be appreciated

Each gun varies a bit - - - I use 10-15 psi.
It sounds like you are using the wrong temperature reducer. You need a high temp (this is July - summertime!) so it doesn't dry so fast. I'll bet you $10 that is your problem.

It almost sounds as though your gun isn't working right.I use HVLP in the body shop and fight with the opposite results,in other words,it's a challenge to spray out a job without going too fast and wet.Chromabase sprays like primer.A HVLP gun should cover the hood with about 6 passes.
