Will I lose my license until I'm 21, or just be stuck with another ticket? PARENTS DO NOT KNOW.?
Last night, my friend and I drove up to Wisconsin between the hours of 10:00-3AM.
Here's the situation: I do not have my license. I further more do not have my learners permit. I was joking with my friend and swirved to the left of the road a little, and out of NOWHERE a cop pulls us over. Now as you can imagine, we were freaking out (in a calmly manner) and the cop is asking for license.
So stupid Bryttany (myself) says that I am indeed 16, but I must have left my license at home in Illinois.
Two hours later the cop lets me off with a 121.60 ticket for swirving, and expects me to call him today with my license information or I will receive another ticket for operating a vehicle without a license.
Now--If I don't call him today (because I have no license information to give him, obviously) will I lose my license until I'm 21, or just have this ticket?
Because he still wouldn't know that I don't have my license ( He also has the wrong spelling of my name, and my old address)

You are done either way. If you don't call, you assume he won't bother to find you; not a good way to go thru life.
You did the crime; own the punishment.

Well I live in Virginia and I've had 4 driving on a suspended/ driving without an operating license and let's just say I've spent the past 4 years on driving probation and out of two of those I spent time in jail. It's not a fun experience. If I could go back I would have done it the right way! You should own up to your responsibilities. Take it from me, it'll just turn into a snowball effect. One thing after another will happen because you'll think to yourself "if I just drive to the store, or to my friends house, or I HAVE to get to work so I'll drive" and then you'll get caught and you'll keep getting caught! Just confess to the officer and apologize profusely. Your license will most likely be supsended and then after the suspension date is up you'll be on a probation period where you can't get any tickets for like 6 months. Pay all your fees, don't drive during the suspension date, and drive extremely careful while you're on the probation period. Good Luck! I am 25 now and have sky high car insurance because of my bad driving record. It's called an SR-22 type of driver! See it'll all come back to you in the long run.

Some parents you got there.
Pay the ticket, if you have a learners permit give them the number. Do not try to avoid this, you will get a ticket for driving without a liscence, and if you are lucky you might be able to drive by the time you are 18.
All in all, you should of realized that what you did was reckless and irresponsible. Just the other week 5 teens were killed in a head-on accident with an 18 wheeler. Be thankful that you are still alive.

I'm guessing that you would get another ticket.
But in Michigan, I'm not sure if the laws are the same in every state. But anyways,
here, if you have your level I driver's license, and you get in any accident, you will not be getting your license until you're 21. But in level II you will just pay the ticket.
If the laws are teh same in Wisconsin, then you may have broken [i wrote all the things you may get in trouble for]
- operating a vehicle without a license
-reckless driving
-underage driving [i'm not sure if you are 16]
- driving after curfew
- lying to a cop
I def think you should tell your parents about this-- they will yell at you, but they have your best interest at heart and will do their best to sort things out, and plus they are going to find out.

who's car is it? They will pull up the registration and go from there. That means if it is your parents car they are going to know! If it is your friends parents car they are going to know. If I was you I would come clean with the cop and ask him what you should do to make it right. Pay the ticket and get your license(if you can now). Don't drive without a license that is just stupid.

my daughter pulled something like this here in Florida a few years back. Not only could she not get her license till she was 21, I would not let her get them till she was 23. You could have a bit of a problem with the cops, because don't forget, he did get your plate number, and can trace that back to the owner of the car, and then you.
- smedrikLv 71 decade ago
the plates are registered to an address that I assure you is valid.
Operating a vehicle without a license in some places is a criminal offense.
You are in a world of trouble. Avoiding the problem is going to make it worse.

Was it your car? I would think that the owner of the car is responsible for letting an unlicensed, uninsured driver operate their vehicle. Of course, you shouldn't have been driving in the first place, but it is what it is. Good Luck!

The cop doesn't really expect you to call him today..
What you should do is run down and get your drivers license as soon as possible,, hope you're old enough.

i live in wisconsin, thats pretty funny! just because he has the incorrect spelling of your name and old address doesnt mean that you are off the hook. he has you license plate number and that alone will be enough to track you down. just call and let them know the truth...otherwise you will regret it!
