Approximately how many megabytes are 'downloaded' using a webcam?

Where I am, I have to pay download fees (around 7 cents per megabyte depending on the currency exchange rate) and I want to webcam with my kids in the USA. (There's only one choice for internet here). Anyone able to give me an estimate as to how many megabytes a webcam with VGA or TFT resolution actually 'downloads' in say a 15 minute webcam session or at least how to figure that?

On average you'll be downloading at about 30-50kbps, depending on resolution and quality of the image. At that rate, a 15 minute session will be around 3-6 Megabytes of downloading. If you plan on communicating with your friends with your own webcam, you'll be uploading at about the same speed, 30-50kbps, and I would assume you get charged for uploads as well.
