Why do Republicans in the US Congress forget they work for their constituents and not the President?

The main reason that the Republicans (except for RON PAUL) won't challenge the Bush Administration is because they are politicians and having a "president's" endorsement and appearance at a fund raising dinner translates to a lot of money for their next election run. It doesn't make it right but then again they are politicians and Politicians will do anything in order to win the next election.

This country needs more "Statesmen". Someone who will do what is good for future generations. Like restore the shattered Constitution by the current elected bozos of both parties.

I am 60 years old and what I am seeing in this government makes me sorry that I didn't what was going on closer. I was a junior in high school where we were taught us right from wrong. JFK was president and everything was fine.

I have always retained my Independence because not everything the Republicans say are wrong and likewise not everything the Democrates say are wrong.

At this point in time they are both wrong for letting the world be bullied by a gutless coward who refused to go to Vietnam but has no problem talking like a big man. It is a good thing this is a "G" rated site.

Dude, no -_- this is only approximately slandering the democrats. If democrats administration the presidency and congress, that doesn't mean they kick out all the republicans. it only ability that the democrats' evaluations are greater probably to be exceeded than those of the republicans via fact the democrats might signify better than a million/2 of congress, a majority mandatory to bypass particular expenditures.

Why did the President forget that he is supposed to be a representative of the American people? It's apparent that Bush doesn't care what the American people think. He has his agenda and he's sticking to it. So much for a government by the people...

I support the Administration and I support the any in congress that supports my beliefs. If the Republican congress truly followed the Administration and other democrats we would have given amnesty to 13 million illegals. So that issue alone has blown your theory.

Well, ya get busy with things like fund raising and you tend to forget things like the people who you are supposed to represent.
