have you tried getting her hair braided in a cute style? Micros or cute cornrolls are not only convienient for her age group but when properly manage it causes the hair to grow

Take her to a hair salon and have them braid her hair to her scalp, you can add braid hair for a little length, but keep it at a natural length. Make sure to oil her scalp with a scalp dressing that promotes growth on a regular basis. Remove the braids weekly, wash and condition, and repeat this process until the hair grows out. You can also, twist her hair, and allow her to wear a fro. Once her hair is long enough, begin to moisturize the hair well, and let her sport natural curls. My daughter has natural hair, and I usually moisturize it with Care Free Curl gel, this helps her hair stay moisturized, and I oil her scalp with Tea Tree oil. She had a perm, but now her hair is all natural, and in the middle of her back.

Give her rod curls, which are very tight curls, and are springy. Or you could just straighten it with a hot comb, or let her get a relaxer at a salon. If you do the relaxer, MAKE SURE they use the one for children (it will have kids on the box) b/c the reg. ones are too strong!
Also, there are plenty of book available with pictures i'm black and have natural hair!that teach how to style and take care of natural black hair.
Good Luck!

i have a little cousin that's about her age. what i would do is twist the front of the hair and then flip the back or put it in spirals curls. make sure its permed or straighten. or take her to a professional. but make sure u keep her self esteem up by letting her know that shes pretty.

well it depends how short it is. If it has enough length and you want it to straighten, you can use Just For Me Texture Softerner. I straightens the hair and makes it thinner and softer and makes her hair more manageable to do. It's good because it's not as harsh as a perm. Good Luck!!

uhm flat iorn it out and put twist in the frount with curls in the back that flip up instead of down, its kinda hard to explain hair styles with out a picture... try gettin a hair book and finding a style that will work best...
also a wrap works perfect!!!!!!!!

forget these dumb shyts who are writing insensitive things on your question.
go to a black salon and ask them to give her a cute that suites her face.
i have the same problem my hair is short and not by choice. i hate so a hair cut done by a professional works but sometimes weave looks better

You could go to a salon and they could relax or "perm" her hair. Just make sure to ask if they can use a smaller concentration of chemicals because she is younger.
