Trying to set up yahoo 360, I go to register email address and get.."Sorry, this email is already in use"
I saw someone else asked this question but they didn't get a useful answer so I'm re-asking it as i've been having the same problem with mine for at least a year. I have tried using 6 different email addresses, none of which are misspelled. I tried using the email associated with the yahoo Id i was trying to sign up for 360. I even tried using a hotmail email address I actually made just before trying it. yet I still always get "email already in use" every time. How can an email address I just made be in use already. This is some kind of site glitch that I have found no work around for. I've even tried using a brand new yahoo account and still can't register. Have also tried using Firefox 2, IE 7, Safari 2.0.4, Safari 3.0.2, and Camino 1.x. I've also tried contacting customer care email but never got a response. Does someone know a way around this site glitch?

This shot shows that all the email addresses are typed right, and verified email addresses. Note I've tried using every one (all appear in popup in screen shot 2)
To try an email that's not in list yahoo redirects you to account page to add it to account first, once you do that, then go back to 360 the new email appears in account list, but just like rest, trying to use ANY in account list report email is already in use in 360 but it is not. Also note this ID or no other IDs affiliated with the same email addresses are in 360. The hotmail email address shown I created specifically just to try a fresh email address in system and it still didn't work. This issue is a site/account bug. The question is, getting around it.
Nope, loading 360.yahoo.com brings up screen shot 1, asking me to give them an email address and initial page setup. I've used 3 different computers and 5 different browsers, it isn't a cache issue. It's a site/account flaw. Trust me, I've done all the basic trouble shooting and then some. In fact even have had two of the computers formated between retries so there is no way even possible the issue is local machine. The issue is site misreporting email in use when it is not. I could go and create an email account right now. Add it to yahoo account as 360 instructs to do, then try to use it for profile setup and it would tell me email is already in use by someone else on 360. If I had an active 360 page like two have suggested, when i loaded 360 homepage it wouldn't be asking me to sign up (and also by screen shot you can see I'm logged in when it's asking me to).

Ok I found source of bug and was able to fix myself. Here is the defect in the 360 site.
Even if I choose an email that is not registered to 360 it still gives email in use error because another email address tied to the account is in use on 360. In other words:
yahoo account 1 (emails registered to accounts page)
userbob@example.com <--registered on 360
usersteve@example.com
yahoo account 2
useradam@example.com
userbob@example.com
on account 2 you want to make a 360 page, you try to use useradam@example.com to register and it reports that useradam email is in use, it's not, but 360 noticed the userbob email on accounts page, even if it wasn'tr even being used to register for 360, by some bug in script or what not, the validation check is making a mistake and not allowing you to complete registration properly.
Solution:
Remove offending email from accounts manager page on account 2 then try again and it works.

You should just be able to sign into yahoo 360 with your yahoo email account. when you create the yahoo email account you also have a 360 account....yahoo answers account....messenger account. All with the same user name and password. If you are getting the error message with a non yahoo email account....ask yourself if you used that email account to register one of your yahoo email accounts then that would solve your question. In other words you already have a yahoo 360 account with your yahoo email address just sign in.

lol friend calm down.. you can't use screen shots here.. or images of any kind.. sorry
I bet you anything that you already have the pages.. and they are open to you.. you just need to go to the home page and sign out.. then.. go to tool and click the internet options and clean out your browser cache.. clean it good
then close out your browser and pull up another and go to yahoo home page.. on the left hand side of the page is the option.. 360... click it and try setting up and signing in from that point of set up..
I will keep my fingers crossed for you.. good luck!

You need to be signed in on your yahoo account and then try it. Then it won't need to ask you for an account. The reason it's saying account taken, is because it doesn't know it's you... you could be anyone.

Oh my stars I'll just stick with your origiinal question.
If you're getting the message that email's already in use just add some numbers to make it different like street address, birthdates.

first and foremost, you shouldn't be applying your call for any digital mail addresses for defense applications till its for artwork. you will possibly in simple terms might desire to maintain tabs on the recent digital mail address you want to apply by using fact after 6 months or so, the tech help at Yahoo will delete the unused digital mail address or you may bypass on your modern digital mail and cancel the account.
